My Biography.
I'm a junior Broadcast Journalism major at Penn State University. I'm minoring in Digital Media Trends and Analytics, a minor I believe will help further my knowledge in the media industry. I'm originally from a small town in central New Jersey called Cranbury. I attended Princeton High School where I took news production and found my passion. I've had the opportunity to visit Good Morning America's production room during a live broadcast which only solidified that I wanted a career in broadcast journalism. I've also had the opportunity to take communications classes throughout my college career at Penn State that have taught me how to be the best journalist that I can be. I've taken writing classes, radio reporting classes, television reporting classes, and media classes. I was also involved on the production team of a campus television show called After Hours, part of PSNTv. In this club I got the opportunity to be part of a real life production crew with hands on experience.
In my college career so far, I’ve had the opportunity to explore the marketing and digital media side of my major, and my minor of Digital Media Trends and Analytics. I have learned how people interact with the media and how companies use marketing and the media to reach their consumers and clients. The side of marketing that peaked my interest was understanding why consumers bought the products they did and the attachment that comes with it. Throughout my journalism classes, I’ve had the ability to talk and interview a variety of individuals to hear their unique stories and opinions, and I’ve had the privilege of expressing their opinions and stories with my professors, classmates, and the public. I’ve also become well versed in the Social Media aspect of communications. I look forward to all the opportunities I am presented in my future and I am excited to make an impact with the knowledge and skills I have gained throughout my college career. |
